Description
Melaleuca calothamnoides is a shrub growing 1 m to 4 m tall. The leaves are narrow and grow about 1 cm to 2 cm long and up to 1 mm wide. The plant flowers in winter and spring from July to October. The flowers are red and green and produced in bottlebrush-like spikes up to 5 cm long. The fruit capsules are about 5 mm in diameter.

Distribution
Melaleuca calothamnoides is found in a small area between Geraldton and Shark Bay on the west coast of Western Australia
