Description
Totem Poles is a shrub growing to 3 m tall. The leaves are small and narrow and grow 5 mm to 15 mm long and up to 3 mm wide. The plant flowers mainly in spring and summer from November to February. The flowers are pink or purple fading to white and produced in spikes about 2 cm to 3 cm long. The fruit capsules are about 4 mm in diameter.

Habitat
along watercourses, swampy heathland, rocky outcrops

Distribution
Melaleuca decussata is found in south east of South Australia and Victoria.
