Common Name
Prickly-leaved Paperbark

Description
The Prickly-leaved Paperbark is a shrub or small tree growing 6 m tall (sometimes to 10m). The leaves are narrow and prickly and grow 1 cm to 4 cm long and about 1 mm wide. The plant flowers mainly in spring from September to November, but also at other times of the year. The flowers are yellow or white and produced in flower heads or short spikes about 30 mm in diameter. The fruit capsules are about 3 mm in diameter.

Habitat
woodland, heathland, wet soil areas

Distribution
The Showy Honey-myrtle is found in eastern Queensland and eastern New South Wales.
