Common Name
Red-flowering Kurrajong

Description
The Red-flowering Kurrajong is a tree or large shrub growing to 8 m tall. The leaves are large, round with heart shaped base, or three lobed, and grow 15 cm to 25 cm long and 15 cm to 25 cm wide. The plant is deciduous, and flowers during the dry season when the tree is bare. The flowers are orange-red, bell-shaped, with 5 partially fused petals, and about 2.5 cm to 5 cm in diameter. The seed pods are brown in colour, boat-shaped, and grow about 9 cm long and 4 cm wide.

Distribution
The Red-flowering Kurrajong is found in the north of the Northern Territory.
