Common Name
Dagger Wattle

Description
Dagger Wattle is a shrub that grows from 2 m to 3 m tall. The green phyllodes are narrow elliptic in shape, and grow 1 cm to 3.5 cm long and 2 mm to 4 mm wide with a prominent midrib. The shrub produces bright yellow, pale yellow of white flowers in spring between August and November. The spherical flower heads are about 5 mm to 7 mm in diameter. The seed pods are straight and flat, papery in texture and grow to 5 cm long and about 4 mm to 7 mm wide.

Habitat
open eucalypt forest, near streams, in rocky or sandy soil

Distribution
Dagger Wattle is found in eastern New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, north east Victoria. Scattered populations are found in Tasmania.
