Description
The Silky Wattle is a tree or upright, open shrub. The flower spikes are 2 cm to 7 cm in length with densely clusterd golden yellow flowers. The plant flowers in autumn and winter. The phyllodes grow from 4 cm to 16 cm in length and 1cm to 4 cm in width with numerous veins along the length of the leaf.

Habitat
It is found in rocky areas and along watercourses and damp areas. It grows in loam, clay and stony soils, amongst spinifex and Eucalypts.

Distribution
Northern Territory, Queensland. In is also found in Western Australia it the Kimberley, Pilbara and northern Goldfields regions
