Description
Jointed Rush is a perennial rush that grows to 50 cm to 1.2 m tall, with a rhizomatous habit. It often grows in thick tussocks or clumps.
The plant's stems are cylindrical to slightly flattened in cross-section, and are 1.5-3 mm in diameter.
Flowers grow in clusters, with brown perianths and 2-3.5 mm long segments. There are 4-6 flowers in each cluster and 15-50 clusters per inflorescence. The plant flowers throughout the year.

Habitat
wet areas such as swamps, saltmarshes, brackish estuaries.

Found in all states of Australia - Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Northern Territory,
