Description
False Sarsaparilla is a dense climber, prostrate or floppy shrub, or sometimes upright shrub. The arrow-shaped leaves are glossy, leathery in texture with prominent veins, growing about 7.5 cm to 10 cm long. The pea flowers are usually purple but there are also shades of blue, white and pink forms. Flowering is in spring.

open forest, woodland, heath

Distribution
coastal and near coastal areas of central and southern Queensland, eastern New South Wales, Victoria, south east South Australia, Tasmania.
